Research

Current Projects

I'm currently exploring a handful of accessibility-focused research ideas! Please reach out via email if you would like to chat about any of these studies or collaborate.

  • Understanding video accessibility with and for neurodivergent audiences
  • Designing AR / VR systems to make public art (e.g., murals, mosaics, sculptures, graffiti) more accessible to blind and low vision people

Recent Projects

Some projects that I recently worked on include:

  • Exploring how context (video type, platform, and user goals) can impact video accessibility needs and audio description preferences (CHI 2024)
  • Investigating the ableist hate and harassment faced by disabled content creators on social media (CHI 2024)
  • Understanding disability disclosure practices of people with invisible disabilities on social VR platforms (ASSETS 2023)
  • Synthesizing perspectives about accessible 360° video description experiences from both users and creators of AD (ASSETS 2023)
  • Designing systems to support blind and low vision audio description writers (ASSETS 2022)
